This study was looking at people traveling periods of six months or longer. When people travel for longer periods of time they are at a higher risk of malaria than people who travel for short periods of time. This study shows how travelers should use preventative strategies such as continuous chemoprophylaxis, stand-by emergency self-treatment, seasonal prophylaxis, and other strategies to prevent the P vivax malaria infection. Another issue covered by this study was the advantages and diadvantages of the strategies to prevent malaria.
